Privacy notice for the Jobilino NFC app
Last updated: 4 November 2026. This notice covers the “Jobilino NFC” app for iOS and Android. This website has its own privacy statement, linked in the footer.
Who is responsible
Mladen Vuković, Enzersdorfer Straße 70/4, 2340 Mödling, Austria. E-mail: info@jobilino.com. More details in the imprint.
The short version
- The app needs no account and does not ask for your personal details.
- It contains no advertising and no analytics of our own.
- We do not receive what you read, write or save. The app has no connection to our servers or to Jobilino time tracking.
- The one exception to “nothing leaves the phone unless you send it” is the QR scanner on Android, described below.
What is stored on your phone
The app keeps the following in its own storage: your flows (including any tag passwords you entered in them), the history (action, time, chip type, chip ID, content written), saved copies of tag memory, the current write draft including imported CSV data, and, for anti-copy tags, the last counter seen. The app does not encrypt this data separately, and it may be included in the backups you have set up on your device.
You can delete this data in the app (the history, for example), or completely by uninstalling the app.
Permissions
- NFC: to read and write the tags you hold to your phone.
- Camera: only to scan a QR code with which someone shared a flow. No images are stored.
QR scanner on Android (Google ML Kit)
On Android, the app uses Google’s ML Kit component to scan QR codes. According to Google, it sends technical information to Google for diagnostics and usage analytics: device information (manufacturer, model, OS version, available accelerators), package name and app version, performance metrics, configuration, error codes and a per-installation identifier that is not meant to identify a person or device. The transfer is encrypted. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a working scan function (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). If you prefer not to scan a QR code, you can import a shared flow from a file instead. ML Kit is not used on iOS.
What you share yourself
Otherwise, data only leaves the app when you share, export or print it yourself (history as CSV, QR labels, flows as a file or QR code), using your device’s own functions. Passwords are only included in a shared flow if you explicitly switch that on. Downloading the app is also subject to the terms of the store you use.
Children
The app is not aimed specifically at children and does not knowingly collect data from them.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and the right to complain to a supervisory authority (in Austria, the Datenschutzbehörde). Because we do not receive app data, we usually have no data we could match to you. You are still welcome to write to us.
Changes
If the app changes, we will update this notice. The version published here applies.
