Is recording working time mandatory for companies in Munich?

Yes. On 13 September 2022 the Federal Labour Court ruled that employers must introduce a system for recording working time – regardless of sector and company size. The start, end and duration of daily working time have to be recorded. In certain sectors such as construction, building cleaning, hospitality and logistics, the documentation obligation under § 17 MiLoG applies on top, which requires the record to be made within seven days of the work being done.

How do we record travel time between customer appointments across the city?
