Why it is free
No catch. It is a gift.
NFC is part of our daily work at Jobilino, so we built the tool we wanted to have, and we are giving it away to anyone who needs it. There is no sign-up, no payment, no advertising and no feature held back behind a paid plan.
The app stands on its own. It has no connection to Jobilino time tracking, it does not need a Jobilino account, and you do not have to be a customer of ours to use all of it.
What the NFC app can do
From a quick look at a single tag to writing hundreds of tags with their own data.
Write your own data
Text, links, custom URIs, 15 social networks, e-mail, contact cards, Wi-Fi, phone, SMS, location and Android apps. Several records per tag, with a live size meter. Every write is read back and compared.
Build your own flows
Save up to three flows with any steps in any order: check, unlock, erase, wipe, write, set or remove a password, lock. Run one on a single tag or on many in a row.
Unique data on every tag
Running numbers, UUIDs, the chip ID, the date or columns from a CSV file. On NTAG21x the chip can also add its own ID and tap count to the link.
Protect and lock
Set or remove a password, protect reading too and limit wrong attempts. Locking is permanent, so the app makes you type LOCK first.
Back up and copy
Save the memory of your tags, compare two copies page by page and restore them. Copy the content of a tag to one or many others.
Anti-copy links on NTAG 424 DNA
Set up a link that changes with every tap, with the encrypted chip ID, a tap counter and a signature, then check it in the app. The set-up uses the keys already on the chip, so change them with your chip supplier’s tools before a real rollout.

How it works
- Install the app. There is nothing to sign up for.
- Read a tag. Tap Read and hold a tag to your phone to see what chip it is and what it holds.
- Write or run a flow. Choose your data or your own steps. The app checks each write before anything irreversible happens.
Supported phones and tags
You need an iPhone 7 or newer with iOS 15 or later, or an Android phone with NFC and Android 7 or later. The app itself is in English.

Good to know before you start
- iPhones cannot write to MIFARE Classic tags at all. That is an Apple restriction.
- On iPhone, a tag that is password-protected for reading cannot be opened in the middle of a flow. Remove the password under Tools first.
- The app does not change the keys of NTAG 424 DNA chips.
Your data stays with you
- No account, no advertising, and no analytics of our own. We do not receive what you read or write.
- Flows, history and saved copies are stored on your phone. Deleting the app deletes them.
- The camera is used only to scan a shared flow QR code. NFC is used only while you work with a tag.
- On Android, the QR scanner is a third-party component that sends technical diagnostics to its provider. The privacy notice lists exactly what.
Questions about the NFC app
Is the NFC app really free?
Yes. The app is free to use, with no sign-up, no ads and no in-app purchases. Every feature is open to everyone.
Do I need a Jobilino account?
No. The app is not connected to Jobilino time tracking and works without any account. You do not need to be a Jobilino customer.
Which phones does the app work on?
iPhone 7 or newer with iOS 15 or later, and Android phones with NFC running Android 7 or later. The app’s interface is in English.
Which NFC tags can I write to?
The full feature set works on NXP NTAG21x (such as NTAG213, 215, 216) and Ultralight EV1. DESFire and ISO 15693 tags can be read, written with records and locked. iPhones cannot write to MIFARE Classic at all.
Can I unlock a locked NFC tag?
No. Locking is permanent and the tag stays read-only. That is why the app verifies the data first and asks you to type LOCK. A password, on the other hand, can be removed again if you know it.
Can I use it to copy access cards?
That is not what the app is for. It copies the content of tags that are yours or that you are allowed to work with. Do not copy anything you are not authorised to copy.
Is my data sent anywhere?
Flows, history and saved copies stay on your phone, and we receive none of it. On Android, the QR scanner component sends technical diagnostics to its provider. The privacy notice for the app has the details.

Use it responsibly
Only read, change or copy tags that are yours or that you are allowed to work with. The app is not meant for duplicating access cards, tickets or anything else you are not authorised to copy. Locking a tag cannot be undone.
