Which device do I need as a terminal?
Any standard Android tablet can be used as a Jobilino terminal. No specialist device, no expensive hardware. A tablet from around 150 euros, a tablet holder on the wall and a Wi-Fi connection – that is all you need.

Are my employees tracked continuously?
No. The route is recorded only during a trip that is running, and the employee starts and stops that recording themselves. With no trip active there is no positioning – there is no tracking in the background.That is the difference from time tracking: there the location is captured only at the moment of clocking in or out; here it is captured during the trip, because otherwise there would be no route. Where a works council exists, introducing the system requires its agreement.

When does a mileage log stand up?
It has to be kept completely, promptly and in closed form. Every trip needs the date, the odometer reading at start and end, the destination with address, the purpose and the business partner visited; detours are noted separately. Private trips need only the distance, journeys between home and work a short note. Whether your log is accepted in a given case is for your tax adviser to judge – this page is not tax advice.

Can I correct a trip afterwards?
Yes, if your user group holds the right to do so. Every change is logged: the log holds the original value, the person who changed it and the time, and the export contains a separate sheet with all later changes – including trips deleted within the selected period.
