Tolerance window: the stamp and the planned start of work
Someone standing at the site twenty minutes before the shift begins has not worked twenty minutes. The tolerance window compares the real stamp with the planned start of work and decides from when the time counts. This article covers the four cases, where the planned time comes from, which window size fits – and how to undo an adjustment in an individual case.

Is the real stamp lost?
No. Where the counted time differs from the stamped one, Jobilino stores both. The real stamp stays visible on the entry and is recorded in its history – which is precisely what makes a later review and release possible.
Which window size should I choose?
You can choose 3, 5, 10, 15, 25 or 30 minutes, with 5 as the default. Start small: five minutes cover the natural arriving-early without noticeably giving away or cutting off time. The value applies in both directions.
Why is the late side a separate switch?
Because it credits time that was not worked: a stamp at 6:03 is then counted from 6:00. That is a deliberate business decision and should not happen as a side effect of the tolerance window. Without that switch, a late stamp counts as it is.
Does it work without a rota?
No. With no planned start there is nothing to compare, and the stamp counts unchanged. The planned start comes either from a closed dispatch day plan or from Staff Scheduling – dispatch takes precedence.
Are manually recorded times adjusted too?
No. Only real-time stamps through the app, the web or NFC are evaluated. Manual and full-day entries are left untouched – they are the intended route for capturing a special case properly. Clocking out is never affected either.
How do I undo a wrong adjustment?
When editing the entry, the real stamp can be released; that needs a permission of its own. On the dispatch day board you can also release all adjustments of a day plan together – each one keeps its own log record.
